President Donald Trump said he would “certainly consider” offering Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis a position in his administration once DeSantis completes his final term as governor.
Trump made the comment when reporters asked whether he might give DeSantis a job in the administration.
“ I don’t know, but I’d certainly consider it,” Trump replied. “I think he’s good, doing a good job.”
The remarks come as DeSantis, term-limited and set to leave office in January 2027, has been the subject of speculation about potential roles in the Trump administration.
The two former primary rivals have mended their relationship in recent years.
No specific position was mentioned, and the White House did not immediately provide further comment on possible roles for the governor.
