12 Hours of Gellhorn?

Sebring International Raceway has long been featured in racing video games and simulators, but it may soon make its debut in one of the world’s most popular open-world franchises.

According to an article published by The Drive, fan analysis of a crowdsourced map on stateofleonida.net and details from the 2022 Grand Theft Auto VI leaks point to a near-identical recreation of the historic Florida track appearing in GTA 6 as Gellhorn International Raceway in the fictional Port Gellhorn area of Leonida.

No previous GTA title has included a dedicated asphalt road course. While the series has featured street racing, off-road events, a small dirt track in Vice City, and a horse racing/dirt oval in GTA 5, a proper paved circuit has been absent from the franchise.

The evidence centers on a section of the leaked map that closely matches Sebring’s layout, including the distinctive shape of Sunset Bend (Turn 17). The in-game version appears oriented differently and forms part of a larger motorsports complex that may also incorporate elements of a drag strip similar to Gainesville Raceway.

The name “Gellhorn International Raceway” originates from code references uncovered in the 2022 leaks. Additional speculation links it to the game’s second official trailer, in which a character wears a shirt bearing “Gellhorn International” branding.

The name could reference journalist Martha Gellhorn, who covered World War II and was the only female reporter at D-Day; Sebring International Raceway was originally built on a former WWII airfield.

The article notes that inclusion of a full race track could serve as a central hub for expanded racing content, particularly in GTA Online, potentially broadening the game’s appeal to motorsport enthusiasts.

Rockstar Games has not officially confirmed the track’s presence. GTA 6 is scheduled for release in fall 2026.
