Sebring is known as the longest running endurance sports car race in North America.
But that record spans beyond cars and drivers – to sponsors.
Officials at Sebring International Raceway say the ExxonMobil’s Mobil 1 brand has extended its title sponsorship of the Twelve Hours of Sebring, continuing a partnership that now spans 32 consecutive years.
The agreement ensures the race will remain the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring for the 74th running on March 21, 2026, at Sebring International Raceway. Mobil 1 has held title sponsorship since 1995, with the current race name in place since 2000. It is the brand’s only globally entitled race.
The endurance event, part of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, forms one leg of sports car racing’s unofficial triple crown alongside the 24 Hours of Le Mans and Rolex 24 at Daytona. Known for its demanding bumpy surface on a former WWII airbase, Sebring tests vehicles and drivers rigorously — aligning with Mobil 1’s positioning as a high-performance synthetic motor oil.
“Mobil 1 has been at the heart of some truly historic moments on the third Saturday in March,” said Katy Howell, global marketing services and sponsorships manager for Mobil 1. “Being part of those moments is just one reason fans flock to Sebring by the tens of thousands.”
Sebring International Raceway President and General Manager Matt Muha called the near four-decade association “a testament to the dedication and faith the Mobil 1 brand has” in the event, adding it honors the raceway to align with one of the world’s most recognized brands.
The 2026 race features defending winner Porsche Penske Motorsport’s No. 7 Porsche 963, with driver Filipe Nasr aiming for his fourth Sebring victory. The team also seeks the Florida double after winning the Rolex 24 at Daytona in January.
The raceway, North America’s oldest permanent road course (established 1950), will launch celebrations for its 75th running in 2027 immediately after this year’s event.
